Google Plus Bugs – #2: You Are Your Own Friend!
This is actually a pretty cool bug in Google Plus, I am pretty certain Google will catch on quickly and resolve it, but while it lasts…
I don’t know why, but I find myself using Google Plus more than I ever used Facebook, I think the time I’ve spent on Google+ since its release is likely to be much more than the time I’ve spent on Facebook since the start of 2011. I think this mainly has to do with the fact that the service is mainly dominated by power users, who actually have more interesting things to say than “I’ve had a bagel for lunch today, cream cheese & salmon!”. Am enjoying it while it lasts.
Google Plus Bug #2
Essentially, you can add your own profile in your own circles!
So if you go to your “Circles” tab, and search for your own profile:
And all you need to do is drag your own profile, to your whichever circle you have (or multiple circles), and you get that lovely +1 come up.
The bug doesn’t seem to go further than that, I tried creating a new post to see if it doubles up in my Google+ Stream, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Do you think this isn’t a bug? You think there is a reason why Google+ allows you to add yourself to a circle?, share your thoughts in the comment section
Well if you invite a circle to a barbeque, you wouldn’t want to miss out on an invite yourself! Maybe you need to be in the circle before it appears in your Google calendar…
In your case of course, you are your *only* friend …
BTW, what about when G+ recommends yourself as a friend – that’s happened to me me before now…
